Real-time Chat, Real-time Language Translation

Telestic, Inc., turned to us to develop the beta trial of their upcoming MeGlobe™ chat application, a powerful web-based chat interface that provides intelligent real-time language translation. Working with an international team we explored naming options, designed the identity suite, planned the interaction metaphor, and designed the user interface layer, applying the power of the Adobe Flex framework to create a polished user experience.

MeGlobe™ was built to diminish language barriers from online communication. Currently in a closed beta launch, the MeGlobe™ chat application provides all of the expected features of a web based chat application plus the ability to translate discussions in real time. Telestic’s “neural net” intelligent learning engine allows each user to benefit from their own personalized colloquialisms. Targeted at language students and international citizens, MeGlobe™ is already making its mark on the web.
