Digital Decision-Making at Work

A little more than two years ago Tanagram was honored to be invited to join a Nielsen strategic leadership team for a workshop that would dramatically shift the way Nielsen delivered its business analytics. The vision of this workshop was to develop an application framework that navigated Nielsen’s vast data systems to provide relevant information for each user's unique situation and need.

The result was a series of prototypes that founded the second birth of the Nielsen Answers™ BI platform, a system overhaul that leverages dashboard-mounted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) as an entry point to access data shared between over 100 separate applications (each with its own special focus), problem solving “road maps,” and context-aware “smart text” situational analysis. Tanagram worked closely with a standards team to define and manage a global interface metaphor that standardizes the way users interact with all of the many powerful applications.
