What’s the best way to describe Scott Conant?
A top chef and restaurateur, he’s often a featured guest on national TV and a regular judge on Chopped, Food Network’s highest-rated program. The author of three cookbooks: New Italian Cooking, Bold Italian and The Scarpetta Cookbook, Conant also owns two highly acclaimed South Florida restaurants, both at luxury resorts owned by Turnberry Associates and guided by Jeffrey Soffer, the company’s CEO.
A supremely talented graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Conant made a name for himself while in his 20s, running the kitchens of such famed Italian eateries as il Toscanaccio, Chianti and City Eatery. Under his leadership, they earned glowing reviews and paved the way for a 30 year career, ever-expanding brand and enthusiastic fan base.
Conant eventually brought his own vision of sophisticated, savory Italian cooking to life with Scarpetta, first in New York and then at Turnberry’s iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach.
Recipient of Best of Award Excellence from Wine Spectator and Best Expensive Italian from Miami New Times, Scarpetta also received AAA’s Four Diamond Award.
With alluring ocean and pool views, Scarpetta’s bold architectural features complement Conant’s seasonally inspired Italian fare, paying homage to his heritage and reflecting his exceptional talents.
Conant’s latest restaurant, CORSAIR, was launched at Turnberry Isle Miami, highlighting Jeff
Soffer’s renovations at Turnberry’s Aventura resort destination. Inspired by the age of discovery and Florida’s rich history of exploration, CORSAIR offers a seasonal and rustic menu rooted in the farmhouse cooking of America, where quality and simplicity of ingredients is center stage.
From Aventura to Miami Beach, both restaurants reflect Conant’s enduring philosophy: Savor the pure pleasure of food…down to its last taste.
